What does the Scrum Basic training entail?

Scrum is the most popular and common Agile way of working based on Toyota’s Lean approach. This framework was developed by Jeff Sutherland and Ken Schwaber for software development and is in use since 1995. In Scrum, the emphasis is on customer communication, the development team, and stakeholders. Furthermore, Scrum is suitable for IT and non-IT projects within organizations. According to the research company, The Standish Group, almost 80% of European organizations plan to introduce Agile and Scrum in the short term.

 

During the Scrum Basic training, the essence and principles of Agile and Scrum will be discussed. Thereby the roles and methods used within Scrum are discussed as well. In this way, you’ll learn how this innovative way of thinking and working is applicable in your work environment.

 

After following the course, you have gained insight into all aspects within the Scrum methodology and you’re able to fulfill a role as Scrum Master, Product Owner or team member. The course is furthermore a good preparation to obtain the official ‘Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)’ and the ‘Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)’ exams of Scrum Alliance. If desired, you can participate in exams of Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I), Professional Product Owner I (PSPO I) or Professional Scrum Foundation at scrum.org.

 

Training setup

The training lasts for one day and is given in a project form. In this way, you’ll learn to put knowledge into practice. Exam

After the completion of this training, there’s the possibility to take an online home-exam. Sufficient knowledge is gained during the training to pass this exam. However, our Scrum training courses are tailor-made. The training content is customized to the participant wishes per training course. Ideal exam preparation is not always applicable.
